Emma as a child grew up in a Christian Day School in Kampala, Uganda, Africa where he excelled intellectually. With the investment of love and encouragement by IAGM supported missionaries, Jim and Emily Ohlinger, he pursued his unique love for learning, becoming the first in his school to graduate with honors. He was accepted at college and graduated with honors. He applied to medical school and was accepted in the Anesthesia/Critical Care Program at Parul University in India. This is a great achievement for someone with limited opportunities in Uganda.

Emma states: “I have been thinking about my future, building a career in the field of medicine…My schoolteachers always noted that I was strong in mathematics, biology, and chemistry. I was blessed to have finished near the top of all graduating secondary school students in my region…This past year, 2021, I was accepted into the Anesthesia/Critical Care Program at Parul University in India. I was able to obtain a passport and student visa, with my studies (that began) in September of 2021. Through my career and faith in Jesus Christ I hope to complete my program in India, move on to a master’s program at a top university in Europe or the United States. I desire to bring my skills to my home country of Uganda, to help improve the health care system and provide valuable skills to my fellow Ugandans. Through my studies, relationships with peers and professors, and eventual medical practice, I intend to bring glory to God…who has watched over me, blessed me, and set me on this path.”

IAGM is thrilled to help this young man realize his dream by contributing to his support.
